There is nothing more invigorating than the smell of roasted coffee beans ... which are stored in huge white bags in a warehouse in the National Coffee Park of Armenia. Here, coffee is not an invigorating drink, but a business card and symbol of the city.
The National Park and the museum attached to it are a must-visit for coffee lovers. And even if you prefer tea or any other drink, there are also interesting activities for you.
It`s better to start your visit to the park with the museum: just follow the smell, you can't go wrong. There you can learn everything about this drink. The amount of information obtained there is as invigorating as espresso. There are not many rooms in the museum, everything is very compact but informative. At the entrance, you will be greeted by a manual coffee grinder and a symbol of local coffee planters - the Villys Jeep. The nimble red car was loved for its compactness and cross-country ability.
Next, you will see the entire process of coffee production from collection to packing in white and brown cloth bags. And in the end, you can watch a movie about coffee. You may even get a cup of this refreshing drink. According to locals, this is the only coffee museum in the world, so don't miss the opportunity to visit it.
Once you are energized, you can explore the rest of the park: the rides, bamboo forest, traditional local dances. Go to the rides while the power of the drink is still active after the coffee museum. There are 20 of them to suit everyone's tastes: roller coasters, cable cars, Ferris wheels.
Visit the coffee plantation and the planter's estate, look at the XVIII century building of the Railway Museum. Coming down from the 18-meter observation deck, you may think that the tour is over, and there is nothing else to do in the park, but then you will see the dancers. Dressed in bright costumes, the actors will show you a fascinating performance dedicated to the history and culture of Colombia.
