The Pueblito de Las Vizcachas ecological city park is located near the Chilean city of Puente Alto. It is an original tourist attraction and a gift from Mayor Germán Codina Powers to the locals. The purpose of its creation was to provide citizens with a large open space for family recreation and take care of the environment of this territory at the same time. The park is surrounded by picturesque natural landscapes. However, it also has a dynamic modern infrastructure, which is constantly being improved and supplemented. Thanks to such a non-standard approach and first-class service, this brilliant project has no analogs in the country.
The park covers an area of 6 hectares and consists of several sectors intended for cultural, sports and gastronomic development. It brings together the best representatives of all local crafts on its territory. Their goal is not only to market their products but also to share experience and knowledge. For this purpose, public cultural events, educational seminars, and masterclasses are regularly held there.
This is a great place for outdoor enthusiasts. In addition to many well-equipped hiking trails with a total length of 3 km and viewing platforms with stunning views, the park has a surprisingly beautiful lagoon area of about 6.5 thousand square meters. Everyone can go on a short trip by boat, kayak or catamaran.
Less energetic visitors can also find something to do there. The territory of the park includes a large green area of about three hectares, where you can have a picnic or just enjoy the fresh air and magnificent landscapes.
The City Council has prepared a surprise for the youngest guests. There is an educational farm with pets such as cows that can be milked and sheep that can be trimmed. In addition to goats, rabbits, geese, and ducks, there is also a small stable.
After an outdoor activity or an educational tour of the farm, you can visit the cozy restaurant and taste traditional Chilean cuisine.
