The Witches' Market (Mercado de las Brujas)

This unusual market is located not so far from the centre of La Paz. It is easy to find Mercado de las Brujas. Firstly, this place is marked on maps of many guidebooks. Secondly, if you do not have such a map, any citizen will gladly conduct you to one of the main sights. 

Mercado de las Brujas looks incredibly colorful! That is the maximum concentration of magicians and shamans selling items. But do not be afraid. No one of them will curse you, while many healers are just ordinary dressed traders. Of course, they will not tell you that, so you need to be attentive. If you buy something from one of the local magicians, you can even get a talisman or luck spell for free. And bargain more! It is one of the accepted market rules here. 

An assortment of products on Mercado de las Brujas is so various. Yes, here you can find statuettes, jewelry made of silver or natural stones, bags, or clothes. But this is just the start of your visit. The further you go, the higher is an opportunity to see something extraordinary, like dried entrails of animals, skeletons of birds, live insects, secret-recipe potions. All as it should be in the wizarding world. Some products terrify, we must admit it. Impressionable guests should not go for a walk alone.

But in fact, the worst thing in this place is its name, The Witches' Market. It is a truly colorful place with friendly people and an unusual but very pleasant atmosphere.
