The Argentinean city of Posadas has a luxurious Botanical Garden. It is named after Alberto Rota. This picturesque site was built recently, in 1981. It appeared thanks to the fundamental donation. Oscar Adam offered the lands to the city for Jardin Botanico Alberto Roth.
This site was named after Alberto Roth in 1988. It was an outstanding Swiss environmental scientist who came to Argentina in 1924 with an important mission. This remarkable person was improving local types of soil and made a success. So, great Argentines memorialized him naming the Botanical Garden in his honor.
This beautiful garden occupies 11 hectares. It is well equipped. You can come to any point in the garden by groomed paths. Here is a library, a fountain, and even a garden with orchids. Thanks to the efforts of the workers, you can spend time profitably. It concerns visitors of all ages. All of us can choose preferable routes.
For example, children can look at the groves of trees planted more than 2 decades ago also by children. In my opinion, it is a very good way to show them how time flows. A young generation often comes to Jardin Botanico Alberto Roth. Schoolchildren and students study botany and have thematic lectures in the open air, surrounded by trees and flowers.
The Botanical Garden has all the possibilities to grow numerous species of plants. But what is more important, it preserves kinds which are on the verge of complete extinction.
