This park is a highlight of not only San Diego, but entire California. It was founded in 1915. Balboa Park preserves more than 100 years of life and culture of Southern California. Here are seventeen award-winning museums, more than fifteen gardens, a famous San Diego Zoo, and much more.

Do you like science or art, trains or sports? These are museums for everyone. The most popular of them are the Museum of Natural History, Art, Automobile, Railway, Aviation and Astronautics, Human, Photography Art, Medieval Tortures, and International Mingei Museum.

What about prices, you have several options. You can pay for entrance to each museum separately or buy Go San Diego Card for a preferential visit of San Diego attractions, including Balboa Park.

If you are a botany fan or like beautiful flowers, you can spend several days walking in the park. In the Botanical Garden, you visit all places on the planet. Here are tropics and deserts, permafrost zone and black-soil fields. Except for the plants, the garden is famous for its caterpillars. The other two main Balboa Gardens are the Rose Garden next to the Natural History Museum and the Japanese Friendship Garden.
