The Wynwood District is the most unusual, colorful, and ambiguous place in Miami. It is worth to visit it, even if you do not know anything about contemporary painting. No one remains indifferent to the walls scrawled with graffiti after the walk around the district.

This region distinguishes by a maximum number of spaces for art lovers. Here are more than 70 galleries, 5 museums, 12 art studios, and 5 fairs. Everything is filled with the spirit of freedom and reinvention of being through various forms of art.

The most talented artists from around the world made graffiti on the walls of Winwood. They decorated the boring gray walls of local buildings with art. In total, more than fifty artists from 16 countries of the world painted the walls of this area.

Now, Winwood is a mecca of modern art, hipsters, and innovative things. For several years, this area was turning from a gray and poor place to one the richest and most attractive in terms of investments. And real estate costs a lot here.

Of all seventy galleries located in Wynwood, you need to pay attention to the Rubell Family Collection. Paintings, exhibited here, cut you to the very heart, and it seems that they tell something special to every visitor.

All galleries in Winwood are open till evening. They can even close later if visitors have no time to see everything. Here, employees offer you drinks, choose musical accompaniment for individual exhibitions, and are always ready to tell you about the exhibited art objects.

Every second Saturday of the month, a kind of festival takes place in Winwood. Galleries and bars are open all night, and musicians come to the streets and perform their songs. On such nights, the streets are filled up with tourists and locals. Everybody rests, sings, and dances while visiting local shops looking for unusual souvenirs and jewelry.
