Amazingly, such a small separate state of Saint-Pierre and Miquelon has so many interesting activities. In the centre of the capital, Saint-Pierre, you can learn the history of the archipelago.

In a small Heritage Museum, there is some data about traditions, crafts, and ancient settlers. We can say that the museum is interactive. Some of the items are not allowed to touch, but you can look at them very closely. 

The museum is located in a small building of the 19th century. The facade is unremarkable. It has only two floors, but many rooms turned into museum halls.

The building has had a long history, and it changed many owners. We can say that the house is a silent witness. The walls of the museum heard the chink of coins, that buyers of the store were scattering in a hurry. In the rooms above, guests were quarreling, and the sonorous gavel of a judge was heard in its halls ... Until, finally, in 2003, the house on the Saint-Pierre embankment was opened for the museum guests.

When you enter the door, you will see bottles, paintings, old matches, and even a boat. At first, you get a feeling that you come to an old barn. But here everything is logical. Locals have been fishing for two hundred years, so there are many items for this activity. But that's not all. Look at the pharmacy shelves and  suitcase of the doctor of the archipelago, or find out what were the desks of children in Saint-Pierre two hundred years ago. You can even visit the cellars of the local hostesses.

The Heritage Museum in Saint Pierre seems to be a time capsule. It transfers you to the past of the island, and then gradually, for decades, returns back to our world. And you come back with various knowledge and impressions. After that, come to the quay and think of the long history of such a small state.
