The ancient Canadian city of Quebec is located in the east of the country and is the capital of the province of the same name. Here you still have the opportunity to stroll along the picturesque medieval streets and touch the age-old stones of the defensive walls. Right from the first introductory minutes, you will have no other choice than to fall in love with this amazing city with its fantastic atmosphere and friendly residents. And even the cold climate, hardly conducive to walks through the city, does not scare hundreds of thousands of tourists who visit the city every year, as well as the unique glacial hotel (Hôtel de Glace), or the exuberant Winter Carnival (Carnaval de Quebec).

If you are one of those who are afraid of biting frost and squeaky snow under their feet, Quebec will embrace you in the warm season. You can stay at the famous castle hotel Frontenac, visit the Citadelle of Quebec, walk along Royal Square, and taste la Poutine, a popular Quebec dish.

While enjoying the beauty of this magical picture-book city, be sure to pay homage to those who have played their part in its history. To do this, you need to go to the Old Quebec neighborhood, Notre Dame street, House №29. On one of its walls, you can see the world-famous Quebec City Mural. This giant trompe l'oeil of 420 square meters appeared on the wall of the building in 1999. Most of the canvas is occupied by historical and cultural personas. Here you can see images of the main discoverers of Canada: French traveler Samuel de Champlain, Breton navigator Jacques Cartier, pioneer and explorer of North America Louis Jolliet, the national hero and liberator of Quebec from the English soldiers and Indians of the Iroquois tribe, Louis de Buade de Frontenac, the first bishop of Quebec, François de Laval, the founder of the Ursuline convent, Marie of the Incarnation, as well as the father of Canadian poetry, Octave Cremazie, and the star of the Canadian chanson Felix Leclerc. Besides, the legendary mural depicts Quebec's main attractions: the majestic Frontenac castle, the old mansions of the historic center, and, of course, the stairs, authentic symbols of the ancient Canadian city. All the images of the mural are painted so accurately and meticulously that it seems like a painting with real characters coming to life.
