The cathedral of Jesus Christ (Christ Church) is an Anglican Church in Fredericton. It rises gracefully and harmoniously above the city streets.

It was built in the neo-Gothic style in the middle of the 19th century. The Foundation stone of the cathedral, built on the site of the former Anglican Church, was laid on 15 October 1845 by Lieutenant Governor Sir William Colebrooke. However the new building was waiting for the moment of consecration for another eight years: it took place on August 11, 1853.

In 1983, the cathedral received the status of a National Historic Site. However, not all elements of the building are authentic. For example, the spire that can be seen at the top of the tower today is not the original. The first was damaged in a fire caused by a lightning strike in 1911. During restoration work designed by architect J. DeLancey Robinson, the spire grew by 20 feet. As a result, its height is 198 feet. Initially, the bell tower had 8 bells. However, after the fire, the melted bells were replaced with new ones. Another 7 bells were made with money collected for donations: thus, the bell tower received 15 "voices". Their ringing is heard every quarter of an hour.

The cathedral's values are the wooden interior decor and stained glass windows. The east window, consisting of seven parts, stands out among the large stained glass windows. The seven panels represent the seven dioceses that existed when the glass illustration was created. At the top of the window, there is an image of Christ.

Local visitors also pay attention to the tombstone of the first Anglican Bishop of Fredericton: it is made in an unusual form, unusual for North America.

The large organ stands in the north part of the transept. Its original pipes date back to 1912: they were installed after a fire in 1911. The Opus 2399 console was created in 1957 by the "Caravan Frere" workshop, a well-known Canadian Morgan Construction Company.

The cathedral is actively working. In addition to religious purposes, the temple also serves culture. In summer, it hosts a series of concerts that combine genre diversity: from traditional temple music to opera and tango.
