Can you already hear the noise of the stands? It would seem that for so many years, the walls of Anfield should be saturated with this hum. After all, the home arena of the Liverpool team is more than 120 years old!

Happiness, euphoria, delight: this is what you will experience when you come to the match of your favorite team? For every self-respecting fan, to step on the field where the legends of world football met in a real sports battle is real happiness! All this is possible to experience in Liverpool. Moreover, you can walk around the teams' dressing rooms, take part in a press conference, touch the "This is Anfield" sign, the symbol of Liverpool. Inside the stadium, there is also a museum where the personal belongings of players and cups won by the team are stored.

Who would have thought that a huge arena with 50 thousand seats would grow out of a football field with one stand. Anfield is not just the stadium of a local team, it is a piece of world history.

The stadium was rebuilt many times, levels were added and expanded. Sometimes reconstruction had to be postponed. This was due to the resistance of residents whose houses stood on the site of the future next podium.

After the tragedy at Hillsborough stadium in Sheffield, where 96 Liverpool fans were killed, the stadium was redone and only seating remained. Also, an 11,000-seat level was added.

At the entrance to the stadium, you will be met by Bill Shankly, the head coach and manager of the team "Liverpool". More precisely, it is a bronze copy. One of the stadium gates is also named after Bill. It contains the words from the hit "Gerry & The Pacemakers" - "You'll never walk alone."

And all this might not have happened. It was planned to demolish the stadium, because the authorities wanted to build a new arena, bigger than the old one with 25,000 seats. Why is it still standing? The reason is banal: money. The economic crisis of 2008 saved the Anfield club. So they still play big football there, conduct tours, and at the entrance, there is still a bronze statue of Billy Shankly.
