Probably every house has at least one flower on the windowsill. The craving for nature, for beautiful nature, is common to all of us from time to time. In the Glasgow Botanic Gardens is just such a delightful, diverse nature! Amateur flower growers would be speechless from this splendor and variety of plants. It is even possible that they would try to take something away as a souvenir (which is better not to do).

It is not surprising that one of the largest botanical gardens has appeared in Glasgow. First, the local fauna is very diverse. You can study and observe it endlessly. Second, there is a university with numerous scientists who are eager to conduct research and devote themselves to science. Third, Glasgow is one of the country's seaports. So this is the best place to add to the collection of rare plants.

All this riot of colors and flavors is located on an area of 20 hectares. There are plants for planting trees, for flower beds, for hedges. Everyone will find there a plant to their liking. The Glasgow Botanic Gardens is home to the national collections of begonias, tree ferns, and Dendrobium orchids. All of them and much more are planted under the glass domes of greenhouses built in the 19th century. They look more like an unusual alien palace. One of them is even called the Kibble Palace.

Not all items of the collection are hidden under the glass dome. Some particularly persistent trees can be admired while walking in the surrounding area.

Besides, you can find yourself visiting the Black Queen from "Alice in Wonderland". Don't worry, no one will force you to repaint the roses. There are roses of all colors. And it is simply impossible to get out of this garden! The collection of fragrant medical herbs emits a stunning aroma!
