There is an unspoken rule that every villager dreams of moving to the capital, and every citizen – to the village. While residents of other megacities were fantasizing about a quiet and calm rural life, adventurous Kazan residents placed the real Tatar village in the very center of their native capital.
Cozy log huts of the modern complex called "Tugan Avilim" (meaning "native village" in Tatar) opened their spacious doors in 2005, on the day of Kazan's millennium celebration. Since then, Tugan Avilim has become a favorite recreational space among citizens and one of the most visited tourist attractions.
This marvelous land on the shore of a picturesque pond will surely impress everyone. Besides, it provides so many fun activities that visitors can easily spend not only a weekend but a good vacation here. The exciting quest "The Mystery of the Kazan Fort" is a great amusement for a friendly family or a large company, "In full sail" of a pirate ship is fancied by adventure lovers, and the most courageous visitors can prove themselves in the "Insomnia" caves. Laser battles in the dark, immersion in the VR world or mysterious labyrinths are designed for the participation of 60 people at a time. Would you rather choose outdoor games instead of quests? The administrators of Tugan Avilim saw this beforehand as well. For example, they created a huge rope camp with full equipment and special training. It appeals to those who dream of joining the army. Would you like to take care of others? Then come to a petting zoo. The experienced instructors will be happy to share funny stories about their pets with you. There are rabbits, goats, and ponies to pet and even feed. The youngest guests of the complex will find a haven in the museum of teddy toys "Mishkin's House" (Bear House). Even adults are surprised by the museum's three floors filled with teddy bears, ranging from the symbol of Tatarstan, the "Buddy" bear, to a gift from Natalia Oreiro.
But whatever the guests of Tugan Avilim choose for fun and entertainment, it is best to end a busy day in the traditional herbal bath "Tatar Munchasy" with an ice plunge pool.
