"Shumy" is a narrow stone passage (no more than 30 meters) that separates the Lower and Middle Multinsky lakes, the distance between which is about 260 meters. "Shumy" is crossed by the rapid and stormy stream of the Multa River. Due to the different heights of the lakes (about 20 meters), the river accelerates its waters and rumbles down into the lowland, forming a small waterfall. The noise of the water scatters for hundreds of meters.

To get from the Lower Lake to the Middle one, you need to overcome a moraine, a heap of boulders and stones. It was formed during the movement of the glacier. The distance is short (only 150 meters), but it is hard to conquer, especially in bad weather. In summer, the water is visible. Sometimes there is so much of it that it becomes dangerous to cross the river in "Shumy". In fall, the water goes under the stones.

On the left bank of the Multa river, the moraine turns into a stone run, a talus of large stones. These piles are picturesque, but it is difficult and even dangerous to walk on them. There is no time for beautiful views as you have other things to worry about! You need to mind your step so as not to stumble over tree roots and fall or even meet a snake.

Not far from the passage, there is a more convenient place where you can rest, admire the beauty of the local nature, and take some pictures.

One-day hikes often end with a visit to "Shumy". Some tourists return to the Lower Lake on foot or by boat, while others go to the Middle Lake. In terms of difficulty, the hiking route can be rated as average. In one day, it is quite possible to visit both lakes, stay on "Shumy" and not be too late with setting the camp. But you have to get up early in the morning.

All inconveniences are compensated by unity with nature and landscapes of unearthly beauty. "Shumy" is a very unusual and attractive place that is worth a visit.
