75 models of monuments, almost 20 years of good emotions of visitors, 6 hectares of peace and harmony – this is the Park Boheminium in the Czech resort of Marianske Lazne.
The collection of recognizable architectural and technical monuments from all over the Czech Republic consists of UNESCO sites, castles, villages, airports, bridges, towers, colonnades, as well as planes, trains, cars. And all this in miniature. All models there are presented in a 1:25 scale. This is a kind of cheat sheet for future travel. Walking through the Park, you can plan what monuments and castles you want to see in full size!
It is easy to make transitions between epochs and architectural styles among alleys and paths. Want to see the sights of the Czech Republic in one place? Kokořín Castle, Český Krumlov, Karlštejn, Hluboká nad Vltavou Castle, Červená Lhota, Lednice Castle, Ještěd Tower, Black Tower in České Budějovice, Pilsen Cathedral of St. Bartholomew, Letohrádek Hvězda (Star Summer Palace), the Royal Forest, wine cellar Straznice… This is just a shortlist of important constructions and technical structures known far beyond the borders of the Czech Republic.
The informative route among the models represents the architecture of the country from the time of Great Moravia to the present day. In addition to models of existing buildings on the map of the Czech Republic, there are also "ghosts" in the park. For example, the model of the chain bridge of Emperor Ferdinand in Loket, that was built in 1835. This historical pearl can no longer be seen in reality. But the designers "revived" the bridge in miniature, drawing it brick by brick.
One of the most complex models of the Park is a miniature of the elegant Hluboká nad Vltavou Castle (It is also one of the most recent castles to have settled in Boheminium).
The collection of models is updated every year: this is another reason to come to the park again, even if you had to visit it a few years ago. The park is open to visitors all year round, every day, regardless of the weather, weekends or holidays.
