The fairy-tale castle "In Love with the Wind", or officially the Castle of Ravadinovo (in honor of the neighboring village of the same name), is located in the picturesque surroundings of one of the most popular seaside resorts in Bulgaria, Sozopol. Despite its exterior, the castle is not old at all: it never gathered knights at a round table, never hosted the royal feasts, and never was besieged by ruthless enemies. However, it did not prevent the ambitious project of the Bulgarian architect and builder George Tumpalov from becoming one of the main tourist attractions in Bulgaria.
Back in 1996, the architect Tumpalov came up with the idea to build a fairy-tale castle on the shore of a picturesque lake surrounded by a wonderful garden, so that it would delight both locals and tourists. And so it happened. A few years later, the castle, surrounded by a wonderful park with ponds, lakes, grottoes, and fountains, adorned the city's surroundings. The ponds with many bridges and floating swans look like the scenery for Disney fairy tales about princes and princesses. It is no coincidence that the castle was named "In Love with the Wind". There is always a cool wind here, a wind of memories of the master's distant wanderings.
Visitors enter the unique castle through the high arched gate, which is an exact copy of the Roman Hadrian's Gate in Antalya, Turkey. The grand project of the unique Bulgarian castle has not yet been completed. The architect plans to equip it with a hotel with the largest spa in Bulgaria. So there is no better time to go to the town of Sozopol and walk around the castle than now, before it gets expensive. Besides, there are many other outstanding attractions in the vicinity, including the fun water park "Neptune", a favorite vacation destination for the youngest travelers.
