Park preferences vary, but you can often hear from residents and guests of Minsk: Loshitsa Park is the most beautiful in the city.
The Loshitsa manor and the park complex are located in the southern part of the city away from popular tourist routes, not far from the Minsk zoo.
The manor lands were formed in the XVIII-XIX centuries. Together with the modern layout of the park, they occupy more than a hundred hectares of land. The complex is separated on the Eastern side by the Svisloch River. This is not an ordinary park, but a former estate with a beautiful natural landscape: low-lying meadows, a riverbank with reeds, sunny hills, and well-groomed shady alleys.
The estate was owned by various families since the 16th century: Drutsky-Gorsky, Tolochinsky, Pruszynski, Lubansky. It was count Pruszynski who arranged a representative residence from a slowly decaying estate by the end of the 18th century. There were quite famous guests: the King of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth Stanisław August Poniatowski, Russian Emperor Paul I, writer Vincent Dunin-Martsinkevich, composer Stanisław Moniuszko.
This place is perfect for contemplative walks with the whole family, and also for a romantic rendezvous. There are many benches in the park. During the winter season, ski trails are available. And during the summer it is also possible to ride a bike along the comfortable and spacious paths. Both ski and bicycle rentals are available directly in Loshitsa Park. In this place, far from the hustle and bustle, it is always calm and peaceful, regardless of the time of year.
The manor and the park complex are open to guests all year round. Today you can not only walk along the alleys but also find an elegant house where the museum operates. In the halls and rooms of the house, you can see restored interiors of the late 19th century. The museum part is represented by an exhibition of household items of aristocratic families. A visit to the house will be more impressive with a guide because each item is endowed with its own small destiny, which you will not be able to find on your own.
On the territory of the manor, there is a cafe in the gatekeeper's house, equipped with children's playgrounds.
