The town of La Massana houses the Comic Museum, a collection of books with drawn stories from all over the world. This center of attraction for comic-lovers, a building with exhibitions and a book collection, is located on Fontetes Square (Plaza del es Fontetes).

You can come to La Massana by bus or cab from the capital of the principality: Andorra la Vella is about 7 km away.

Among the huge number of books and comic book magazines, the museum also shows rare editions, including illustrated horror series – horror comics.

In addition to the main exhibition, the museum organizes exhibitions of famous contemporary artists. You can see works by Antonio Bernal, Alfonso Font, Philippe Xavier, and Anna Miralles. On spring days, the Salon of Graphic Stories opens for visitors – it has been held annually for more than 20 years. In addition to exhibitions, the museum holds meetings with author-illustrators, film screenings, and workshops on creating comics. There is also an exhibition and sale of printed materials.

Visitors to the museum can access a two-story information zone where they can learn the stories of more than a thousand comics.

The bibliographic collection holds titles that are more than a century old. The oldest editions date back to 1904, in particular, Little Nemo in Slumberland. The period of the 1940s-1970s is represented by Spanish comics (incidentally, the genre is still very popular in that country!): Captain Thunder, Esther and Her World, Military Feats. Books from other European countries represent the comic series named Tintin, Lucky Luke, Asterix and Obelix, while the American part of the collection includes Daredevil Prince, Flash Gordon, and comic book magazines from the 1980s. There are also contemporary comic books in the museum.

The Comic Museum is run by the Andorran Comics, Illustration and Animation Association. It is included in the PassMuseu multi-ticket, the Andorran Museum Passport. The opening hours of the exhibition space are not quite usual: Tuesday to Friday from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m., on Saturdays until 7 p.m. Please note that opening hours may vary depending on the exhibition.
