Every year the city of La Chorrera turns into a bright holiday for 10 days. The country's famous agricultural fair, Feria De La Chorrera, takes place there. Judging by the name, it may seem that this event is boring and unattractive. But actually, Feria de La Chorrera resembles a carnival: contests, dances, music, parades and exhibitions, rodeos, and cockfights. All this time the city is full of flowers. Besides, the actions are accompanied by the aromas of ripe fruit and not always a harmonious chorus of pets.

Feria de La Chorrera begins at the end of January. A couple of days before the official opening, farmers from all over the country come to the city to start preparing for the exhibition: they design their stands, start selling fresh products, and allow children to play with animals.
