Sunken Ship Superior Producer

One of the most unusual places on the entire island of Curacao is the site of the sunken cargo ship Superior Producer. A tragedy happened close to the coast of the island.

For many years, Superior Producer transported goods to European countries. But the last place where it moored was the port in Curacao.

On a sunny day on September 30, the cargo ship went under. People dragged it to the side because Superior Producer hindered other ships. Since then, the ship is located on the bottom of the Caribbean Sea. It is one of the most famous sights of the island.

A large number of divers come to Curacao every year to dive into the waters of the Caribbean Sea. They want to explore the ancient ship after diving, you swim a few meters and see a huge black shadow in the shape of a ship. Of course, it is just a shadow. But it makes you feel so uncomfortable. It was transformed into perfect underwater houses for all the species of marine flora and fauna. The ship is a natural habitat for sea eels, who have chosen it as a wonderful shelter for their hunt. For more than thirty years, Superior Producer has been located underwater.

When you see Superior Producer, the first thing that comes to mind is the famous Titanic and its tragedy. You touch the history, see it, and feel it with every fiber. 

The proximity of Superior Producer to the island is very good for diving. It is located only 150 meters from the coast. It allows seeing a real underwater miracle for a small charge.
