Kwajalein Atoll is the largest and most beautiful atoll of the Marshall Islands. It consists of 97 small islands, their total area is just 16.5 square kilometers. The width of each island is no longer than 120 meters, that is why the atoll looks fairy: like a giant threw the crumbs on the table in a chaotic but beautiful order.
In Marshall mythology, this atoll was the place of the wisdom and knowledge tree growing, just the dignified people of this area could take its fruits.
That hard name to pronounce, Kwajalein Atoll, is derived from the local phrase “ri-ruk-jan-leen”, which can be translated as “people picking fruits and flowers”.
The beach rest is very popular on the Kwajalein atoll. People come here not just to peacefully spend time on the board of the ocean, but also for vivid impressions. For example, Emon Beach is better suited for the family holidays: there are a picnic area and a spot for volleyball play.
On Coral Sands Beach is a school for windsurfers beginners. The climate and wind level are perfect for learning the basics of the risky but a very beautiful kind of sport on one of these islands.
On some islands of the atoll is located an entertainment center having several interesting spots for outdoor activities. For example, a swimming pool, tennis and ping-pong tables, picnic zones, a bowling club, a video game hall. There also have a golf club, a yacht club, and a scuba diving club. In the evenings, the guests of Kwajalein Atoll meet each other in an open-air cinema, where on weekends are shown different free Hollywood classic films.
We can say that variety of islands is very unusual and attractive. You can move from one island to another and not just change the landscape, but the activity.
