Today, it is part of the Sydney harbor National Park and one of the favorite recreation areas of residents.

It is most interesting to be in Port Jackson during the annual new year's eve fireworks: all the embankments and the bridge are filled with thousands of spectators, who delight in watching the fire show over the entire bay.
