Noreuil Park
Albury and surrounding
Squares, Parks, Gardens
Squares, Parks, Gardens

Australian cities are probably one of the few in the world that has a huge number of parks, both natural and man-made. The inhabitants of this country are sensitive to nature. They try to preserve it as much as possible. This is why every city in Australia is covered in greenery.

Noreuil Park, located near the center of Albury, has everything for an exciting outdoor time: places for swimming, kayak rentals, bike paths, and hiking trails of varying degrees of complexity, the necessary infrastructure for picnics and a comfortable stay on the river bank.

Noreuil Park is a favorite place of locals. Mothers with young children come there in the morning. School children come to the park after lunch. And in the evening, Noreuil Park turns into a place for romantic meetings.

If you come to the park after the rain, you can admire a large number of cockatoos that go out to hunt for insects.

The famous monument in Albury, Monument Hill, dedicated to the victims of the First World War is very clearly visible from the park. By the way, you can go to this monument from the park down one of the pedestrian paths. You can walk through the beautiful forest, and then, when you get to the hill, look at how your long way, and enjoy the view of the city and Noreuil Park from a high viewing platform.

For those who want to spend more time there than a few hours, there is a path to the historical dam. Next to it, there is a small campsite where you can stay for a night or a few days to live in the almost wild forest, while not leaving the pleasant and comfortable city. Such seemingly disparate things are only possible in Australia.
