Bai Tho Mountain is one of the natural masterpieces of Ha Long Bay which you need to see at least once in life. Thanks to the 106-meter height above sea level, which distinguishes Bai Tho among other rock formations of the bay, it is the main viewing platform in the district. At the same time, the amazing mountain remains a real muse and the main source of inspiration for locals and travelers for several hundred years.

Bai Tho is clearly visible from many places of Ha Long Bay. If you watch it from afar and from different spots, you will have an image of its diverse forms. Here, instead of a mountain, a huge royal castle or a fortress with many towers appears. Then you change the angle of view – and the rock has already turned into a daring lion, which plays with prey, or a fire-breathing dragon which is ready to soar to the clouds.

Once you are near Bai Tho, it is difficult not to succumb to the spirit of adventure and go explore its slopes. The route towards the peak will be short but quite steep and rocky. It will take not less than a half of an hour to pass it. During that time, you will see hundreds of wonderful flowers and hear the singing of various exotic birds. On your way, you will meet monkeys and goats. Monkeys will have fun on branches of trees and watch you. Goats will not pay any attention to you, as they will be busy enjoying juicy grass.

Everyone who gets to the peak of Bai Tho will be deeply impressed by a fascinating view of Ha Long Bay. At the bottom of the mountain, boats and yachts glide on the water, birds fly in the light-blue sky under the clouds, and the azure sea and the emerald cliffs seem to be endless... In the distance, a young and dynamic resort town appears. You can see the tiny roofs of its houses.
