It was built around the 15th century.  After 400 years, it had to be rebuilt due to an earthquake. Stand outside the mosque a little bit and you will feel its majesty.

Then after you get prepared you can come inside the mosque. Yes, you need to be prepared to see the beauty of the building. The mosque is decorated in a splendid way: the interior is full of Arab inscriptions, mosaics, sculptures and even a solar system. Everything is done in such a sophisticated way, that it is difficult to admit that it was done by humans. The main colors are golden, red and green. The walls are made out of white stone.

Although it is supposed that the most beautiful and impressive part of the mosque is the mihrab, it is difficult to ignore the beauty of everything else there. From the red carpet on the floor to the glass of one of the domes – every detail of the Grand Mosque makes a huge impression.
