The peaks of the picturesque Tien Shan mountains seem to hold the sky. The thermal springs with healing sulfur waters burst forth out of the earth. The endless steppes still keep the memory of the legendary Genghis Khan, the founder of the Mongol Empire.

In terms of the number of historical and natural tourist attractions, ski and beach resorts, dense walnut groves and crystal clear lakes, this fabulous state located in the heart of Asia has no competitors. This place is a center of attraction for tourists from all over the world. But the most important and valuable pearl of Kyrgyzstan is considered to be the unsurpassed beauty of the Issyk-Kul Lake, which was glorified by Eastern poets.

The famous high-mountain lake is one of the 30 largest and the seventh deepest lake in the world. For Kyrgyzstan, it is the main source of income, thanks to the development of tourism in this region. The perfect balance of sea and mountain air and favorable environmental conditions have turned its coast into a desirable holiday destination for travelers and cherished land for owners of luxury hotels and health resorts.

With an area of more than 6,200 square kilometers and a depth of about 300 meters, the fantastically beautiful lake never freezes and is not covered with ice. That is why it got its name «hot lake». Its warm waters are home to more than 20 species of fish, most of which can be found only here. There are also about 65 thousand birds that come here to winter every year. So in 1948, it was decided to create the Issyk-Kul Nature Reserve on its territory.

The ultramarine-colored lake waters and sandy gentle slopes make the Issyk-Kul famous as a popular family resort. It is also the extreme tourism center as a huge number of water attractions, spearfishing, and paragliding attract fans of such activities. Moreover, everyone appreciates the natural beauty of these places, and the hospitality of locals, the taste of sucuk horse sausage, hot tandoor cakes, and cool horse milk – kumis.
