Tom Cruise starring as a fair samurai in the famous film of Edward Zwick glorified that fascinating country with a real cult of traditions and inevitably brave look into the future. However, for the younger generation, Japan is more famous for its bright anime, rather than for the names of its great warriors, keepers of tea houses secrets, legendary geishas and the sweet aroma of cherry blossoms. The powerful cultural movement which started at the beginning of the 20th century today is getting more and more popular all over the world. The movement includes many creations: from the famous cartoon «Spirited Away», which was awarded a prize of the «British Film Festival» in the «Best Film» nomination, to one of the most popular touristic attractions of Japan – Fujiko F Fujio Museum in the vicinity of Kawasaki city.

Even though the museum was named after two famous Japanese mangakas (this is what manga artists are called in Japan) Hiroshi Fujimoto and Motoo Abiko, the museum is dedicated only to one anime series called «Doraemon». To be particular, it is dedicated to its main character –a robotic cat that came from the 22nd century. So, locals call that bright and bizarre museum a museum of Doraemon.

There you can see original paintings of the famous cartoon authors and the interior of the studio, where the fantastic cartoon popular not only among children of all the continents but also among adults who have seen it many times. Lots of exhibits dedicated to the main character will not leave any child indifferent. Astonishing facts from the lives of its creators will be interesting for older visitors.

Apart from exhibition halls with fascinating exhibits and interactive installations, the museum houses a huge library with cartoons and a small cinema for watching short animated films that were not included in the series. For the youngest guests, there are several play areas and a bright magical cafeteria where you will see images from the «Doraemon» anime even on the bottom of a cup of fragrant cappuccino.
