The largest island state in the world is bordered by two great oceans at once. It has more animals than any other place on our planet ever had. Besides, its fantastic flora amazes with the number of colors and aromas. An endless list of tourist attractions and an impressive choice of exotic fruits and seafood have more than once become a reason to prolong the trip and stay in fabulous Indonesia for a few more days.

Skyscrapers of Jakarta and temples on Java Island, surfing on Bali and numerous formidable volcanoes, crystal clear lakes and picturesque waterfalls. You’re so excited to see every architectural monument, consider all details, have fun in colorful parks and get acquainted with fantastic representatives of the diverse local fauna. You can happily spend the whole life traveling around the islands of Indonesia or go to a theme park in Jakarta and experience all kinds of fun at once.

The idea of creating a giant entertainment park called Mini Indonesia with an area of more than 150 hectares came to the former first lady of the country, Siti Hartinah. She suggested creating a space in the capital where all guests of the country could learn the history and culture of people from all provinces. The wonderful park opened its doors in 1975.

In the very center, there is an artificial lake with miniature islands precisely replicating the map of Indonesia. The lake is surrounded by pavilions representing the provinces of the country. Here you can see traditional dwellings of each province in full size, learn the way of life and culture of its people, view the national costumes, and hear musical instruments. Copies of magnificent temples, including a mosque, a Confucian temple, Buddhist and Hindu shrines, and even Catholic and Protestant churches, shows the diversity of religions in Indonesia. Extensive collections of more than 15 museums tell the history of the country. Besides, many flower gardens, bird and reptile parks, aquariums and even a waterfall easily transfer visitors to the real kingdom of wildlife.
