At the Euromast in Rotterdam, there is entertainment to suit everyone's taste: admire a bird's-eye view of the city, spend one of the most romantic days of your life, or try extreme activities.
The Euromast is an observation tower and one of the most popular attractions in the second-largest Dutch city and the largest European port, Rotterdam. Today, the Euromast is 185 meters high. It has been the tallest building in the area for several decades. However, there was a time when the tower didn`t boast this title: during its construction in the middle of the 20th century, its height did not exceed one hundred meters. In the seventies, to make the Euromast the tallest structure in Rotterdam again, it was decided to complement it with the Space Tower, a large 85-meter spire above the observation deck.
Although the building is considerably tall, it is rather elegant. Its diameter is only nine meters, and the thickness of the walls does not exceed thirty centimeters. Another highlight of the tower is a structure of glass and metal, located at the height of one hundred meters. This is where the main leisure and recreational areas are located. Initially, it covered the top of the tower and was its highest part. For its unusual and eye-catching shape, it got the mocking nickname the "crow's nest."
The Euromast houses the best viewing decks in the city. The lowest is located at the height of one hundred meters in the "crow's nest." Another deck is called "Euroscope." It is a glazed panoramic cabin that rotates around its axis at the height of 112-185 meters. Guests can also enjoy views of Rotterdam through binoculars on the open roof of the glass and metal platform.
Lovers of romance and luxury holidays can enjoy a dinner in a fashionable restaurant, as well as an overnight stay in one of the first-class hotel rooms located in the Euromast. Those who prefer an active and non-trivial holiday can try abseiling from the open observation deck.
