Caramba! Find a treasure map, board a ship – that is the amusement, habitual for the locals of the coast of the Caribbean Sea. It is weird to hear that in a country of Vikings, but in Westport is located the best pirate entertainment center in Ireland.

Children, as well as adults, will be happy to visit all these breathtaking attractions! To ride kayaks and water bikes, board the moving pirate ship, operate the cannonball, and come to the pirate dungeons.

And close to it, is located the house of the pirate queen of the 16th century, Grace O’Malley.

How many skeletons are buried, how many treasures are hidden in this beautiful mansion? Westport House, where the legendary pirate queen lived, is considered one of the most beautiful houses in Ireland. So, if you do not like the attractions, you can walk along the floors of this magnificent squared house. Initially, there was a small house, but, with time, it was renovated and expanded by the famous architects.

The design of the house shows that the old woman Grace did not waste time and invested the stolen money to her home. The gorgeous, fashionable rooms of past centuries contrast with the gloomy dungeons of Westport House.

Now the house is open for visiting, you can book a tour, or come to the exhibitions by yourself, looking at all the exhibits as much as you want. It is just necessary to leave before closing. Who knows, maybe the ghosts will come at night ...

How everything is beautiful around Westport House! The park is beautiful. Interestingly, there is no special stylistic unit, bushes trimmed in one shape, the similar summer houses. These are 480 acres of wonderful variety. A merge of nature, natural wonders, and breathtaking antiquities.

The views are incredible! Westport is located on the bay shore. The windows of the old house face the beautiful view of the water surface and the sacred mountains of Ireland.
