Leaving footprints in the red sand, you visit Phillip Island. Just six kilometers by boat to the south of Norfolk and you are on the uninhabited island in the Pacific Ocean. But it seems like another expedition to Mars.

Red mountains, sands with "veins" of yellow, maroon, and purple colors are impressive! You feel like a pioneer or an astronaut, and you do not understand, where your spacesuit is. The photos will be gorgeous.

There is an amazing variety of colors: from bright red to dark green. And around is the blueness of the Pacific Ocean and the sky. Phillip Island is a part of the Norfolk National Park. The nature of the island is unique. Just look at the red sands.

The Martian landscape is the result of centuries of erosion. The upper layer of soil and almost all the green have disappeared. Before boarding a boat to Norfolk Beach, come to Phillip Island. It seems like it burns, or the local volcanoes are erupting and throwing out scorching lava.

If inside you it is boiling up as well as in the crater of a volcano and you love adventures, you need to visit Phillip Island. If you think that you board a boat on the shore of Norfolk and then come to Phillip Island, you are wrong. You need to go to the island just with an experienced guide and in good weather. The island is not so easy to reach. As in ancient legends, to see the red sands, you need to pass the trial.

All the beauty is hidden behind steep rocks. To come to the island, you should climb the rope ladders, and then come through the steep slopes, so take the comfortable shoes. But the hardest efforts should be rewarded, in the case of the Phillip Island – with the beautiful views, attracting so much.
