The very heart of Turkey, the old city of Konya, was a part of the Kingdom of Hattusa in ancient times. Later it became a part of the Roman colony and the Ottoman Empire. The modern building of an original architectural design in the shape of a butterfly was built in 2015. Its construction took more than 600 tons of steel and 1500 pieces of plate glass of different shapes and sizes. Since then the unique private project with an area of more than 7.5 thousand square meters has been awarded in its field many times. Its space is divided into several zones. The central place is occupied by the European longest greenhouse of butterflies. Its huge territory has an area of more than 2000 square meters. So all the visitors can see how butterflies live in the natural habitat. Every square centimeter of the bright greenhouse complies with the conditions of wild nature: tropical flora of the greenhouse includes more than 20 thousand representatives of a hundred of various species. By the way, new technologies of climate control allow them to flourish regardless of a season.
This interesting place became a permanent home for 10 thousand fantastic colorful butterflies from all over the world. There you can see Asian beauties with «lace» wings called Cethosia cyane, big butterflies «great Mormons» which wingspan reaches 15 centimeters, and black satyrines with bright red bodies, thanks to which they got the name «Common Rose». However, the brightest representatives of the greenhouse are «Owl Butterflies» and the world's biggest moth «Attacus atlas».
